Eastport Girls Club & Boys Club (EGC & EBC)
Age Group: 3rd to 8th grade boys and girls

An after-school tutoring and goal-based mentoring program for boys and girls in 3rd to 8th grades. Students learn effective study, problem solving and goal setting skills. Students spend one-on-one time with an academic coach (tutor) who leads them to academic success, one day per week. Boys and girls meet separately in their perspective programs. Students also spend 6-8 hours per month with one-on-one mentors on weekends outside of weekly programming. Program components include:
- One-on-one academic coaching
- One-on-one mentoring
- Learning to set goals
- Learning problem solving and effective communication skills
- Learning to become self-motivated
- College visits
- Career workshops
- Social emotional workshops
