Our Story
In 2008, in response to rising gun violence in Annapolis, MD, a group of women came together to create the Eastport Girls Club—an after-school initiative for children in the Eastport Terrace and Harbour House communities.
By 2011, the initiative had grown into a formal organization, incorporating as Seeds 4 Success. What began as a grassroots effort with just a $500 donation from a local civic group has since transformed into a respected 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Today, Seeds 4 Success operates five comprehensive, evidence-based programs – Learn, Dream, Grow, Share, and the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparents Program – that serve young people and their families from Pre-K through career, fostering growth, education, career, and future success.
